Modkat was developed when their Co-Founder Rich was searching exhaustively for a new litter box that worked great and complimented the look of his modern Brooklyn apartment but came up empty-handed.
After dozens of prototypes and tons of cat testing, the original Modkat Top-EntryLitter Box made its debut at the 2009 International Contemporary Furniture Fair(ICFF) where it earned The Editor's Choice Award for Best Accessory!
